Something Magical #MomStyleMonday

This post contains affiliate links.  You know how sometimes you dress your little one and you feel like you popped it over their head and something magical just happened? Sometimes baby clothes just do that to you. And sometimes its that happy smile they give you whenever they know they're finished getting dressed. Either way, it kinda makes your heart grow a few sizes. That's how I felt when dressing Blake in these aden + anais pieces. c/o aden + anais flutter sleeve top // aden + anas bubble short You all have known my obsessions with aden + anais from my pregnancy days! If you don't remember, I not only rounded up all my newborn favorites (swaddles, nursing pillows and more), but I kept swaddle blankets that I had bought and stashed in my closet before I was even pregnant. I mean, talk about obsession. It's just that all these sweet pieces are so soft and pretty that they're really hard to keep your hands off. And to me, she's the perfect little baby model for all of them. And did I mention that she's almost fully walking? I really shocks me everyday when I see her walk from one piece of furniture to the next. At 10 months I feel like she's growing way too fast, but each milestone is a blessing and I can't wait to see what she does next. And if you're curious to see what our everyday is like, I share all the behind the scenes on our Instagram stories - so follow me! As you can see, I had a really hard time choosing which pictures to share … [Read more...]

How To Be Present When Traveling With Your Family

This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. If you've been following me on social media, you can see that we've been traveling and are finally home to tell the tale. All jokes aside, we had a really great trip and it was a much needed vacation as we hadn't done a big one like this (we went to Orlando and did Universal while I popped in and out of the BlogHer conference) in a couple years. It was really important to me to try to put work aside and just be present with my family - to take the opportunity to re-connent after a busy school year and schedules that are all over the place. Little Collections: 3-Piece Tankini & Cover-Up Set In fact, it was more than just important to me, being present with my family was something that I was determined to make happen. I did a little planning and some research ahead of time, but here's what worked the best for me. Put down the phone. I know how much we want to check in on social media and refresh our emails, but putting down the phone was pertinent for me to being present. In fact, one day at the pool, my husband accidentally brought my phone up to the room with him while he put Blake down for a nap and I spent 4 glorious hours laying in the sun and floating round and round the lazy river with Branden. It was a blessing in disguise. In fact, bring a camera. If you're like me, my excuse for always having my phone by my side is so I can capture the perfect pictures - … [Read more...]

The Sweetest Organic Baby Clothes #MomStyleMonday {Giveaway}

This post contains affiliate links.  Happy Monday mamas! If you celebrate Easter, I hope that you all had a wonderful one. We were woken up early by both our babes, did our own little egg hunt and brunch in the city, followed by our regular Easter trip to Central Park. I even snuck a nap in when we got home, so it was a really glorious way to spend our holiday. I'm so excited to kick off this week with one of our favorites for babies, Softbaby.  And if you missed last week's mom style Monday, we chatted shoes for littles - so go enter to win a pair of Step & Stride's for your babe! We all want what's best for the sweet babies that we bring into this world, that's a no brainer. While this little one doesn't have an entire wardrobe that filled to the brim with organic baby clothes, we make sure that she has a few key pieces made from 100% organic cotton. These are what I like to call the workhorses of her wardrobe - the pieces that she lives in day to day, like our absolute favorite: The Softbaby Long Pineapple Romper.  Time and time again, this pineapple romper is that piece that just makes me smile whenever I pull it from her drawer and get her dressed for the day. I mean...pineapples just put a smile on your face.  // C/O Softbaby Pineapple Romper // This little smile just says it all! And I want to add that all their clothes are great for sensitive skin and easy to get on and off. All of their designs are so fun and great for both boys and … [Read more...]

The Cutest Kicks For Kids #MomStyleMonday {Giveaway}

This post contains affiliate links. You guys.....I *think* spring weather is finally here to stay! I've been craving long walks to the park without having to bundle everyone up and sandal weather to the fullest extent. This past weekend, we spent some fun time outdoors with friends in the burbs right outside the city (where Branden dreams to live lol) for a color run and park day. Branden spent the night with his friend and Chris and I thought we were coming home to a night of binge watching 13 Things and some drinks, then I came down with the flu. I'm still feeling super under the weather, but pushing forward as best as I can. So excited to share our favorite spring shoes for littles with you all today from Step & Stride.  Obviously every kiddo needs a great pair of sandals to start the season off right and I totally predict that these Step & Stride Fisherman Sandals are going to be "the pair" for little miss Blake. They are really easy to get on and off, go great with everything (leggings, shorts, skirts) and are great for running around in. Each pair of Step & Stride shoes promote comfort, wellness and fit - so their perfect for when little feet are growing, in between size and need something to give chubby baby feet support. As you can see, she had a ball going down the slides wearing her new favorite sandals for spring! // Step & Stride Fisherman Sandals // And of course, having a great pair of kicks are necessary every season and these … [Read more...]

Score Cool Mom Points With Cheerily #MomStyleMonday {Giveaway}

  Let's face it: after having kids, a huge part of shopping and getting dressed becomes all about them and as long as they look good in public, thats all that matters. Well one of the biggest trends lately for both mamas and littles are graphic tees and I'm all in on this one because not only are they cute, but comfy, cozy and great for layering, too. My favorite tees for littles come from Cheerily.  Why We Love Cheerily They have a huge selection of the softest tees (most going up to 2t), but today I'm sharing a couple of our Blake's favorites and giving you all a chance to win a couple for your little ones, too. (Ahem, keep scrolling.) Our little tiny dancer loves pairing her Cheerily Tiny Dancer Tee with her favorite striped tutu for some modern day ballerina style and it puts a smile on both her face and ours, too. And of course, with so many cuddles coming her way from every direction, she totally lives the hug life in her Cheerily Hug Life Tee. We can't get enough of these tees for littles and I can't recommend having as many on hand as possible. Not only are they fun to dress up with tutus and sparkly kicks, but I love just throwing them on her with a pair of leggings and she's ready to tackle whatever is on our agenda each day.  Having Cheerily tees in your kiddos drawers definitely scores you some cool mom points. The Giveaway I'm so excited to partner with Cheerily again for a fun giveaway! Enter below for a chance to win 2 tees … [Read more...]

Winter Is Coming

  I had to go there with the title of this post because it's way too fitting. With the weather going back and forth here between bone chilling days and sunny days that resemble what fall is supposed to be, we never know what to expect day to day here in the city. But winter is inevitably coming and sooner than we think, so cute snow boots for kids have been on my radar. This past spring, I was invited to a regular press viewing called "The Parenting Experience" that I attend on a yearly basis to see what's new for families from some of the most trusted brands, and was blown out of the park from everything that The Muck Boot Company had for baby to adult. I knew that these cute snow boots for kids needed to be in both Branden and Blake's closet and that you all would want to know what amazingness they have for your family, too. Launching for the holiday season, they have these super cool Transformer boots that Branden is wearing and My Little Pony for girls. They are super durable and will keep those little feet protected in style from any harsh weather that winter brings. This boy of ours is seriously too much. I look at this picture and just want to freeze time. It amazes me how much he has grown and changed over the last couple years and sometimes it makes me sad that we had to move from shopping in the toddler section to looking for things that this big kid will like to wear. But collections like this are the perfect combination of the two and … [Read more...]

Jingle All The Way

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. I feel like I should be typing "the holiday are upon us," but in reality - they are here. Everywhere you go decorations are being strung and stores are coated in blankets of gold, red and green. I always get excited about every part of the holiday season, but having two littles this year has been making everything even more exciting and enriching our traditions even further. You know how obsessed I am with clothes, but at the same time I'm not the mom who will dress her kids in stuff uncomfortable gear - I'm all about about super cute styles that my kids can play hard in from OshKosh B'gosh. But holiday clothes from Oshkosh are totally photographable, too! Growing up, I also had a par of Oshkosh overalls in my wardrobe at pretty much every age, so their denim has always been a big part of our life with Branden. So for little Blake, I went a little crazy over their updated tutu version with all the sparkly goodness that a little girl (or her mama) could want! On Branden: Skinny Jeans // Thermal Striped Henley // Thermal Striped Henley On Blake: Sparkle Tulle Jumper // Sparkle Star Print Bodysuit // Tights This brother and sister duo are seriously two peas in a pod and both of their faces light up whenever they see one another (I hope that never changes!). I' so looking forward to the memories that we will all make together, as a family of … [Read more...]

All That Glitters Is Gold

This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. The holidays are always special, but let's face it - with Blake's arrival they are just extra special this year. Even little Branden is so excited about what Santa might bring her and how she will open it. He, of course, volunteered to help. About a month ago, my mom started asking me if she could get her a special dress to wear Christmas Eve (that's when our family does it all up), and I told her no, because I had something special already picked out from the Carter's Holiday Shop. Truth be told - or little Blake is pretty much a babbling commercial for Carter's, as we have pretty much everything at home. It's my favorite because it's really a one stop shop for the super casual pieces (which is what she wears most everyday), fancy pieces, school uniforms for big brother - and their PJ Shop is just too sweet for words. I shop both in store and online (if you need to find a store, do that HERE), and love that they have both because our little Blake is sometime a bit long for certain pieces and I can run over to the store and easily exchange for a bigger size. Since they have both trendy pieces and modern holiday staples I decided to go for something super classic for Blake's first Christmas with this Metallic Jacquard Floral Dress because I think that it pretty much sums up everything that a little girl's first Christmas should be in one gorgeous piece of clothing. And of … [Read more...]

For The Sporty Ones {Giveaway}

This post is sponsored by Vocalpoint and Dick’s Sporting Goods. All opinions are my own. Back to school for us was a completely new breed of busy this year - and we haven't even started yet! If you have followed along with our family story, we just announced our latest family member, little Blake Everly this weekend, so I was on a quest to get every single thing that we needed for back to school done before her arrival. We are typically the last minute kind of family when it comes to this stuff, pulling together our shopping lists a week before (ya know - when the bus schedule arrives in the mail?!), but not this year! Thanks goodness for Dick's Sporting Goods®  and their one stop shopping experience for our little sporty one. Since I was pretty much ready to pop during all of our back to school shopping (and you can see in the above picture that I did indeed, pop) we opted for an online experience for both school supplies and clothes this year. I can't even tell you how much easier this made my life! Branden, as you can see, loves to have a say in the clothes that he wears, so he really enjoyed perusing the Dick's Sporting Goods®  website for everything that he needed. Much to our surprise, they really have so much more than just sports equipment and clothing. We were able to get our little guy the coolest sweats that will be amazing for chilly fall days when he is running from school to swimming twice a week and new sneakers for gym class (his absolute favorite … [Read more...]

New Year, New Style From Oshkosh B’gosh

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. Growing up and now with my own family, back to school to me has always stood for everything "new" - almost like a second New Year's Eve celebration. Everyone took a break from school to grow and experience new things with their families over the summer and then head back to school in the fall refreshed - with new teachers, a new school year, always new clothes. As you can see if you follow along here, Oshkosh b'gosh is always our go-to because they have a mixture of fun kid style choices at affordable prices, a uniform section (which we need in our home) and now a place where I can buy things for they new baby, too. It's a one stop shop and I love that. When we are out in the city on weekends, and B is sporting his favorite style, people are always so surprised to hear that it came from Oshkosh. Their response is that the always think that it's only for littles. News flash - it's totally not! I'm reminding people left and right that their super cute styles go all the way up to size 14! Branden does like to get involved when it comes to doing his shopping, even though he says that I guide him a bit. What can  I say? I follow the trends and want him to be in style! He loves how Oshkosh is always about fun and how he can find pieces that are both comfortable and he looks forward to wearing. We always get a mixture between solids and … [Read more...]
