Another summer has completely flown by and it’s time to get the kids ready for back to school. Year after year, I can’t believe how fast it really goes and this summer seemed even quicker with the birth of our little Blake right at the end. For me, it seems like our parenting style gets a little bit lax during the summer months. I don’t worry quite as much about bedtimes, keeping routines, and daily baths – forget about it! Summer as a kid is all about being carefree and making memories. But as the season changes, I being my quest to establish those healthy habits again, which for us include Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin Gummies.

Establishing Healthy Habits For Back to School

As difficult as it can be to get kiddos to go from “summer mode” to “back to school ready,” here’s how we’re making it happen in our home.

Shopping for products we love at Target.

Target is like my mom Mecca and go-to place for pretty much everything. I always make sure that we stock up on healthy essentials at the beginning of the school year to help us get back on track, while getting everything that we need at great prices. Our little guy is a picky eater and I don’t always know what he’s eating at school whenever he buys lunch, so we make sure to include Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin Gummies as a part of our daily routine. (Ahem – they taste so good and are made with all natural fruit flavors that it doesn’t take any pleading to eat one a day.)

Outlining our routine.

So that our new back to school routine doesn’t come as a surprise to Branden, we make sure to talk our routine out ahead of time so that there aren’t any surprises. Our routine includes what time he will need to get up in order to catch the bus, his bus number, classroom information and when he will get picked up by his father or me at the bus stop. He also does various activities throughout the school year, but mostly on the weekends so we make to outline those as well. We talk about how he will need to take his Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin Gummies each morning before heading out the door since they contain 12 essential nutrients for age specific nutritional support (including A, C, D and E, B vitamins and minerals like iodine and zinc).

Having a trial run!

Let’s face it – getting the kids moving in the morning is no easy feat for a parent, especially after their summer of fun is now becoming all about routines and homework again. So we make sure to do at least one trial run before the big first day as well as slowly starting to go to sleep earlier and waking up earlier during the days prior. (This is also proving to be very helpful for my husband and I, too with a new baby in the home!)

Keeping Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin Gummies Handy.

I make sure to buy a few at a time so that we always have these vitamins on hand. They are free of synthetic dyes, only come from natural sources, have no preservatives or yeast and are gluten free. I can rest easy knowing that B is getting the support he needs to help him live the healthiest life possible.

How are you establishing your healthy habits for back to school?

Fashionably Yours,

Allison
