Can you believe that it’s almost time to start to feel that crisp chill in the air again? I feel like we were just transitioning into summer mode, right? I don’t know about you all, but I’ve found myself craving it. I’m ready to pull my leggings and oversized sweaters out from storage and snuggle up with a hot cup of coffee (instead of my iced coffee) in the morning again.

In my personal life, this week is pretty exciting because my husband will be returning today from his month long military training (you can read more about that here) and I’m just beyond joyful about having him home with us again. We have some big decisions to make this fall and I’m just over here praying so hard that things work out the way we’re hoping – but I’ll share more on that later.

But enough with all that gooey chit chat, let’s get to the reason for today’s #momstylemonday: wardrobe transitions and items that you must have moving forward into fall. The next few weeks can be tricky because I feel like the weather goes back and forth between chilly and hot as hell, so we gotta be prepared.

3 Things You Need When Transitioning to a Fall Wardrobe

#1: A Great Tee!

I love having pretty tees handy and if you’ve followed along this summer, you know that I’ve been particularly loving the knot-front trend.  This floral tee is from one of my favorites, Pink Blush and is a great transitional piece to have on hand. In these pictures, I have it rolled up a little but in the front, which looks great with denim, but it’s also a longer tee so it’s perfect to pair with leggings for a casual day when you’re just hanging around the house.

#2: Denim that you feel ah-mazing in!

I know that I’ve talked about these American Eagle jeans before, but I truly do believe that they are the jeans that saved me postpartum when I was feeling really down about my body. I did need to size up (I’m wearing an 8 here), but honestly they look better on me and I feel really good in them – and that’s what matters most at the end of the day. (And psssst they’re only $29.99 – shop them here!)

3. A great striped tank.

First, here these jeans are again – I do love them so! I’ve also been loving this fun striped tank this summer from Pink Blush again and you best best it will be part of my transitional wardrobe, too. I love the little pop of color with the classic stripes and this will look really cute under my black cardigans as we get into the chillier weather.

And here’s a little close-up for you all! I’ve been doing this thing this summer where I tuck in my oversized tanks and tees just a little bit at the front to give me silhouette a bit more shape and I’ve loved the way it looks. What are your must-haves when moving into fall?

Fashionably Yours,
