Shopping For Wide Leg Pants For The Hourglass Body Shape
Make sure you keep in mind the fact that you have broader shoulders and chest, smaller waist, and larger hips, and remember to work around these areas when choosing your wide leg pants. Don’t go overboard with the wide leg! Choose pants that are more similar to a flair not hippie bell bottoms! This will keep you balanced and looking long and lean.
Avoid stiff fabrics.
Fabrics such as mostly wool or tweeds are considered to be stiff and won’t hug your curves the way an hourglass body needs. Choose pants that are made with a little bit of stretch in them – trust me, you will be much more comfortable!
Stay away from patterns.
While patterns work on some body shapes, they aren’t recommended for wide leg pants for the hourglass shape. Since your body shape already has a lot going on, patterns will only make it seem like there is way too much happening! Opt for solid colors!
Stick with mid or high rise pants.
When choosing where the wide leg pants should hit you in the waist, look for pants that hit you right at the belly button with a mid rise or above it with a high waist – you are able to rock the high waist like a pro so go for it!
